February is Fishing cat month, because a day is just not enough to celebrate these cats. The Fishing Cat make their home in the wetlands of Southeast Asia, and because of the destruction of those habitats, their numbers are declining to just an estimated 3,000 individuals. To help celebrate this month, the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden AAZK chapter is raising funds for the Fishing Cat Fund, a nonprofit organization, which helps with the conservation efforts to save this species.
