The Andean Bear foundation is a conservation organization in Ecuador that does the Andean Bear and mountain tapir, and some other species. They have done many expeditions to help the mountain tapir and In the latest in November 2022 an expedition was set out and they were able to track and radio collar a beautiful male tapir. Information from this animal will help provide scientists with valuable information to help it’s species. Funds from this shirt will help fund the April 2023 expedition to track and research the Mountain Tapir.
There are an estimated less than 2500 mountain tapir individuals left in the wild.
